Zachary Garris is a graduate student at Mississippi State University pursuing a Masters in Computer Science.
Zachary graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, where he completed a senior project building and programming a persistence-of-vision display using C++ and Python.
During his undergraduate study, Zachary completed a Cooperative-Education program with Viking Range LLC in Greenwood, MS. He also worked in the central information technology office at Mississippi State University, as well as the School of Pharmacy information technology office at the University of Mississippi. He was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa at Pearl River Community College.
At Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, MS, Zachary was a member of the SeaPerch Underwater robotics team, where he both drove and helped build and program the robot, winning the team MVP and Engineer award. He graduated from Oak Grove High School in 2016.
